I am having a problem logging users into my site. I am using this plugin:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/login-logout/

My site is http://fangirluprising.com/ but when a user clicks on the login link they are taken to http://fangirluprising.x10host.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http://fangirluprising.x10host.com/

The user logs in, and they are logged into http://fangirluprising.x10host.com/ not http://fangirluprising.com/. If they click on any of the links, the site does not recognize them as logged in. This happens even if I force the login to point to http://fangirluprising.com/wp-login.php.

Any ideas how to fix this so the users are logged into fangirluprising.com?

Nope, if I redirect to the any of the fangirluprising.com pages it acts like the user never logged in. The login is sending a cookie for http://fangirluprising.x10host.com/ and it does not recognize fangirluprising.com as the same site for some reason.

You would need to make sure that the "WordPress Address (URL)" and "Site Address (URL)" settings are correct, they should be set to the domain you intend to use (if you installed it with the x10host.com domain that will be what is currently set and would be the only domain you can login on).

Making sure those are correct will likely also solve the other problem you have with the redirects.

I should add this happening even if I deactivate the login widget and revert to the default login page.

Word Press URL is http://fangirluprising.x10host.com
site URL is http://fangirluprising.com

So you are telling me that I basically need to nuke the site and start over because I installed on fangirluprising.x10host.com?

Hi,

From your WordPress dashboard, please go to "Settings" on the left. You should then see options to change your WordPress URL and Site URL. ;)

Thank you,
