windows servers generally take more memory etc to run so unless you going for one of the higher packages it'll be unwise. I don't believe they would supply the windows as a VPS as standard because it's also not free, (unless you on about using the windows server beta which is unstable). Still if you ask nicely they might do it.

There are stripped down versions of Windows that can't do much, but they can be used in a VPS environment with a small amount of memory.

Still, as far as i can tell there is no way to actually install any OS that isnt available on the list. I might be trying to have a look at putting one through using the backup system.
Edit:
What extent does hardware limit cover? Does this also include problems with the host's connection. For example remote SSH not working at all using either 3rdparty apss or the supplied tool avialable?

The VPS program we use only support linux.

Yes we can upgrade VPS's to higher packages, would you like to do so?

I've been gone for a few days if I missed your question please re post it, thanks.

Not really sure actually, do you mean inside the actual backup itself?

You can do whatever you want with it as long as it follows US law.

You are free to run them on our VPS service, not your hosting account.

Well, managed to get the VPS going, as a warning if your not technically orientated beware of getting one of these, also if you have never used linux. But if you have then why don't you have one? On the second lowest, I have comfortably runing Html, PHP, MySQL, DNS, SMTP, Pop, IMap, Spamassasin, with around 20MB to spare even before the burstable limit Just a question though, can we PLEASE get a forum to discuss the VPS cause i have no idea where were supposed to discuss things, cause it seems like something that should have its own section.
Also how many people have one?
