Server Connection Issue

Hi there.
I am currently running an SMF forum on a free server, and I am getting a message that SMF cannot connect to the database due to the server being busy. This happens a few times over a month, and it usually sorts itself out.

Is there a major problem as to why this keeps happening, or is it normal? I'd just like some clarification on the matter.

Ah brilliant, thankyou very much!

I've just been informed by one of our Canadian members, that he hasn't been able to access the forum in the morning (his time) for weeks now. Over here in the UK, things have been not too bad though.

yeah, it seem to mainly occur during the morning and early afternoon hours (US and Canadian time zones), most likely due to most users are located in those time zones.

We did upgrade the web servers last night in hope that would sort things. Things seem to have improved, but it's obviously not completely sorted.
