I don't know how far you want to go back, but in 1916 the local war ammunition factory blew up explosions carried on for 2 days casualties were quite low for such an explosion with 34 dead and 60 injured.

Property was damaged for more than 2.5 miles (4 Km) around the blast.

Well, here in Bulgaria is pretty quiet and in my city - even more. One of the great disasters in my born town was big flood which destroy some big roads and buildings before several years.

The worst thing that has happened to my city that i know about was when a big rain struck and the next morning some people didn't have power for like 3 days

A truck driver that fell asleep at the wheel drove almost off the bridge. The bridge was closed for the day to be repaired.
