Why are Volvos so cool?

I just thought I'd try to get people talking about Volvos. Specifically why Volvos are cool, why they are really awesome cars. I think the newer designs are really beautiful with gorgeous curves and they are safe and have cool technology (like being able to hook up your USB music player).

Many people say cars are cool because of their looks and/or their features, so that's probably why.

I'm not a major fan of Volvos.. hooray Toyota and Honda

But the Volvo C30 does look nice. It's too bad that its mileage is terrible!

Probably has something to do with their legacy of developing many safety innovations, though I can only question if they can continue that now (making meaningful safety innovations, as opposed to mindlessly churning out one "safety" feature after another) after the automobile division has long since been acquired by Ford.

The older Volvos sucks! Built and look like a tank.

But the newer designs have more curves and look much much trendy.

Anyway, Volvos is cool here because it is a status car. Unlike the toyota and honda which you can see any tom, dick and henry driving.

Volvo captures the coolness of Scandanavia without making it weird or quirky. I'm a big fan of anything Swedish.

Oh come on--surely there are more Volvo fans in these forums than just me. I don't even drive/own one. I only long to do so. Really think the new S80 is more beautiful than anything to come out of North America. Not really a fan of muscle cars, I guess.
