That is probably because you have not links that user to any MySQL databases, or you mistyped the password.

That is because the firewall is blocking requests from the Server Status script. MySQL should be up and running on all servers.

Absolut MySQL is working fine for me, I'm using it now. There is another user in IRC who is getting the same error as you, but they are on a different server.
