Raid 5 NAS dedicated computer or specialized hardware?

If your going to run it on a computer, I recommend you use a distro of Linux rather than XP. It will be cheaper and a little easier on the system. I have too been looking into NAS hardware and see that some of them run FreeNAS, which is a Linux again. If you want to go really cheap there are...

Do I need to learn php to run a forum?

Yes, most forum packages come with install instructions and are run with advanced control panels, meaning you have to know little or no PHP. Of course, knowledge of how the forums works will help when you come to modify it, look at bugs etc.

Do you guys support these tools

Not on free hosting you won't be able to. 1. It is a potential security risk as it would require that users are given higher privileges 2. It would not be fair on other users, the amount of processing time and power is just not available on a server that hosts hundreds of websites. It would very...

    website uptime

According to host-tracker.net, my X10 website has 99.45% uptime today, which is excellent for free hosting. Over the course of 2009 so far it has had 92.95% uptime, which also isn't too bad - certainly not as bad as the 60-70% you suggested. I understand it is frustrating sometimes, but much of...

If I find any time and you are still looking for help I'll PM you, but right now it is not a possibility. Your website is exactly the type I like to work on, so hopefully I'll at least be able to give you some help.

Hopefully it will sometime soon. All I should have to do is write a conversion script in PHP and add it as an export option along with Google Earth KML. Perhaps I'll send you a PM when it is done for you to test it. In terms of your current website, I have just been having a browse around and I...

    Selling 7688 PNG icons

That's a lot of icons. However, if you say you bought them from other people, do you have the rights for resale from them?

    Absolute server sites

I use host-tracker.com to track my website's uptime. Signup is free for the basic features. 99.30% today - I am happy with those stats. I understand that it can be annoying to have the website up and down sometimes, but you have to understand that this is free hosting, you are not paying...

If I wasn't so busy at the moment, I would help. I enjoy flight-sims and my site has software and utilities for them. Even though I am more centralized around X-Plane, some of the software is cross sim compatible. If you want to take a look, it's here. The FPD is my current project, I may put it...

    php.ini Support

Even if you could change it, you have set the limits very high. All of your disk space could be used up in just a few files on free hosting.

Sounds like a Apache playing up. Hopefully, it should either sort itself out or get fixed.

    Changing root directory (index.*, etc.)

You could also set up a permanent redirect in Cpanel. It will work slightly better with Google then.

    reveiw my site AND WIN!

You missed out the 'n' in X10hosting. Otherwise, very neat and 'Web 2.0'. All the colours match up well and the illustrative background and header are both superb. Has a promising future.

Just Stuff, review the layout please?

All very neat and nice. The only thing that bugs me is the use of multiple fonts on the front page. I'd recommend you stick to the swirly font only for the menu items and then use a regular font in anything else; other than that, superb.

    x10Support, (suggestion).

I agree with Daniel, the potential risk of a leak of private info is a bit too much of a risk to user confidentiality. Most questions have been answered here in the forums, and the only time I ever really see the need to submit a ticket is when you have major problems accessing your site i.e...
