If you log into cPanel, scroll to the bottom of the page, in the left side navigation panel (Hosting Account Information) there is a link for "Service Status" "Click to view". This will display a page with the current status of all the Services

I looked at cPanel Service Status report a while ago and imap was down - I just looked again and it's back up. Give it a try now.

If you aren't looking to stay logged in for 10 minutes, you should be able to navigate to two or three threads, read a post or two, and the system should capture your activity. This can be done in a minute or two and should keep you from inactivity suspension.

Having a good moderator staff and possibly forcing Admin approval of new registrations, setting up automatic forum pruning and inactive user pruning, should go a long way toward keeping disc space and memory usage to an acceptable amount.

Went back into cPanel to see what was up after my forum started acting flaky again, and see that memory use is back up over 90% Server load is running at 35.4 (8 cpus) and imap is down. Somebody is stressing the heck out of Chopin.

Thanks, I just looked at the Service Status in cPanel and Memory use is back down to under 50%, but the Server load is showing the red circle icon and 40.63 (8 cpus), which I'm guessing is not a good thing either, but sites appear to be functioning.

somebody is using lots-o-memory. Checked service status in cPanel last night when I had this problem and it was showing 99% memory use.
