Yes, you should be able to do that. You would need to configure the domain to use our nameservers first though (done at the registrars control panel), they are ns1.x10hosting.com and ns2.x10hosting.com

@Derek That is correct. All accounts on free hosting must have one of the provided subdomain as their main domain. Custom domains can be set as either parked or addon domains only. The outside world however would not know this if you set the domain properly and only use your custom domain.
