It could be due to some plugin you have installed, during my test akismet was the only plugin activated.

Welcome to x10 hosting. Wordpress should run just fine on level 2 (intermediate). Currently there's no levels in use, all accounts are set to the equivalent of level 2 (some functions that normally would be in level 2 might be off though). The use of levels are coming back when everything else...

I don't use wordpress for that page, but I do for three other parts of the site... Main page is supposed to be somewhat static, only dynamic content is received from feeds

You are correct to assume this is an upgrade with the future in mind. However you should submit a ticket if you have not already, as it appears that the link between your hosting account and your forum account is broken, which I suspect is very much part of why you can't access your site yet.

the account panel (x10hosting.com/panel.php) has nothing to do with paid accounts. You can see your free there for a few days, and then it will disappear giving you an error that there's no hosting account linked to the forum name. This is perfectly normal, your account panel as a paid customer...

yes, you can host your own forum, as long as the main language is english, spanish or french

if you login to your cPanel account, you should find the shared IP for your server listed in the information panel to the left.
