I don't see a way of changing the default. You probably just have to write a PHP program/query to change every table, if that's what you're trying to do. Tables can be changed using PHPMyAdmin->operations for the table you want to change. Engine can be specified on table creation as well.

FireFTP requires you to type http:// if it is needed. I'm not sure about filezilla, but it can't hurt to specify the correct protocol :)

Ah, good call. I think the important part is to use http:// at the beginning I spent fifteen minutes on the phone with tech support at work because my client was very picky about this issue as well.

You should be able to do it, it's a very friendly installer. Just make sure the old files are gone, and create a user and database using the "MySQL database wizard" from CPanel. Let me know if you have any further problems.
