Extend the length of cPanel cookie?

I would think that session length/autocomplete would be a setting somewhere in the bowels of the admin settings. I'm alright with it how it is, but it's always fun trying to figure out how to stick it to the man :P

Just trying to...

    Why is GD disabled?

The PHP Version system is broken so what you have is not necessarily what it says you have. It looks like the staff are pretty far along with fixing some servers but not others. Stoli doesn't have GD right now but absolute does, it seems.

Extend the length of cPanel cookie?

Well said :P I haven't had it ever "time out" by having a browser open too long, so I suppose if you could find a way to keep an open connection to your CPanel and maybe refresh it periodically, it would be ok. Maybe, for you linux users, you could use a cron job with wget and feed it your...

    Stoli stupdly slow

Looking at my client information, they take credit card, paypal, good old fashioned mail, moneybookers, and alertpay. I think with paypal or mail you can manage to do this, though I have no clue what the last two are :)

    Stoli stupdly slow

If your site is critical, I'd recommend paid hosting here at x10. 99% guaranteed uptime and it only costs $6 a month. I have seen the free servers with very high uptime, but there are always going to be a few times like this where it has been bad. Edit: Even better, 99.9% guaranteed, according...

    CSS Lists with images

Actually, the problem may be that you have a "> being echoed before the <!DOCTYPE. You can see it hanging out there in the upper left corner of your site :P

    elgg installation problem

There's a few more sections I would add to the htaccess that I would say are critical: <Files "htaccess_dist"> order allow, deny deny from all </Files> # Don't listing directory Options -Indexes # Follow symbolic links Options +FollowSymLinks # Default handler DirectoryIndex index.php...

    Website/Database is going extremely slow.

Domain makes no difference as it exists on all the servers. If you look at some of the recent posts in the site announcements section, you'll see there is a lot going on. I'd expect the issues to be completely gone soon, but there hasn't been an ETA posted yet.

    Stretching a background image?

That is a viable solution I should have mentioned, but I personally try to avoid dependency on the z-index and floating. Not to mention there's still the problem of stretching an image 150%. All in all, I'd say a website using this technique would only look correct to 75% of the users viewing it.

    Stretching a background image?

As far as I know, there is no way to do this using CSS, which is what I believe you are using to display this background. The only option that is given is to repeat the background until it fills the screen (in x, y, or both). Stretching may not be the best option, considering there are some...

Extend the length of cPanel cookie?

I'm almost 100% sure that CPanel does not use cookies for the login information. If I open my CPanel and close the browser then try to open it again, it re-prompts for the password. I'm sure this is by design to make your CPanel more secure. I can't think of a way to avoid having to do this...

you can zip the entire folder (I'm pretty sure that you can download it zipped) then upload it using ftp or cpanel, then in cpanel->file manager you can select the file and choose to unzip it.

    Perl version on free host?

Sorry I couldn't be more help :P I know in other programming languages you can check if a function exists, so if you find a function that only exists in a bleeding-edge version of perl, you can always check to make sure our version supports it: pseudo-code: if...

also, anything included will be executed as well. if your file is include_me.php is this <?php echo 'Hello World!'; ?> Where the file is included, it will echo 'Hello World!' You can avoid this behavior by making a function <?php function say_hello() { echo 'Hello World!'; } ?> then...

    Why is GD disabled?

As far as I know, the PHP is going to be recompiled sometime soon and this will include the GD library. There is no way to enable it only on your account.

I'm gonna start from scratch, because all I've gotten is errors so far :P Example html: <html> <body> <div name="d">Test</div> <button onclick="resize_div()">Button</button> </body>Ok, with this I want to resize the div using the onclick event. That's it. Why can't I do this?

Ok, let's try going through the file one section at a time. Try this first: <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine on RewriteBase / RewriteRule ^action\/([A-Za-z\_\-\/]+)$ engine/handlers/action_handler.php?action=$1 RewriteRule ^export\/([A-Za-z]+)\/([0-9]+)$...

    CSS Lists with images

So, instead of using div's you want to use unlinked lists? think with a bit of css that may be possible. for example, to produce this: 1 2 3 4 you can do this: <ul> <li style="display:block">1</li> <li style="display:inline">2</li> <li style="display:inline">3</li> <li...
