Can a cron job kick off another cron job?

It sounds to me like maybe you're taking an approach to this that is more difficult than necessary. Maybe you can code your webpage to do the work as necessary. For example, on my site I need to make sure a directory contains all the images needed to generate some content on the page. If one of...

    I am a geek! ???

Yeah, but who's gonna post more than 500,000 posts? I think it's more for admins who think it's cool to modify their post count to 500,000,000,000.

    Needs DOM XML

Should be enabled. I think this is a pretty standard extension. My site's down this morning so I can't check for sure. Edit: Working now: dom DOM/XML enabled DOM/XML API Version 20031129 libxml Version 2.7.3 HTML Support enabled XPath Support enabled XPointer Support enabled Schema...

    I am a geek! ???

Haha, I never noticed that! /Sources/Load.php line 1222 'posts' => $profile['posts'] > 500000 ? $txt['geek'] : comma_format($profile['posts']), Looks like if your post count is over 500,000 SMF stops listing your postcount and instead says you are a geek. Awesome.

Can a cron job kick off another cron job?

It sounds like you want a different job to run each day, so why don't you have 3 cron jobs and tell them to check what day it is? Maybe you can do something like: pseudocode // run on odd days if day_of_year % 2 == 1 then execute // run on even days if day_of_year % 2 == 0 then execute

    css and w3c

Maybe instead of using opacity, you can create two separate images using something like paint.net (which is free). I didn't check specifically when you want it partially opaque, but you can probably achieve the same effect with javascript and these two images.

I don't see where your problem is happening. Can you narrow it down a little? It's also hard because it's not all in english :P I looks like the problem may be in request_confirm.php, which I don't think you posted.

    Zend Optimizer not installed

If it is not enabled/installed on chopin, the only thing you can do is request that an admin installs it. They generally do not do this. However, I believe it is supposed to be there, so it couldn't hurt to let them know you are having this error. You can submit a ticket at...

    Starting Your Webpage from Frontpage

It looks like Frontpage has FTP as well, like frankfriend mentioned for Dreamweaver. I found a tutorial on it: http://frontpage-demos.12wonderwebservices.com/How-to-publish-your-web-site-via-ftp-in-FrontPage.html

Where did the back up go

There used to be a zip site backup, I think. Another user commented about it being missing as well. It's easy to do this by yourself. Select the files you want to backup in file manager, click "compress", and download/ftp it to your computer. MySQL databases can be exported using PHPMyAdmin...

    Smart Froms

You have to submit the query before you can view the query results. $checkteam = .... $result = mysql_query($checkteam); $retreive_team = mysql_fetch_assoc($result); I changed _array to _assoc on purpose. It is a much better practice to use an associative array rather than a numeric. If you...

    $error = '$error +1'; $error will always equal the string "$error + 1'. You can use ++$error to increase $error by one.

It seems to be working for me OK right now. There have been CPanel updates and some other tasks like account suspensions running in the past few days that have made things unusually slow.

    Dotnetnuke Install

i really like simplemachines. that's what I use. www.simplemachines.org but, there are probably 20 more out there. phpnuke and phpbb come to mind. If you do go with simplemachines, I can help you through it step by step since I know it quite well.

mod_mono is Apache's way of handling Window's .NET technology. you need to add this to your .htaccess file: AddHandler mono .aspx .ashx .asmx .ascx .asax .config .ascx With all the forums out there, do you have to use DNN? A php based forum would be supported by the server much easier.

header function fails even on pure php pages

blobtech's answer fixes about 99.9% of these occurrences. If you intentionally want to have output before your PHP code you can use ob_start() and ob_flush() functions. But, ob_start() has to be called before any output to the browser. example: <?php ob_start(); ?> <!DOCTYPE ... <?php //OH NO...
