After having poked around a bit, it appears it is related to the downgrade of php version you did using .htaccess, when I did comment that out by adding # to the start of the line the site works. I sent the question up ahead to a higher admin to see if that option got lost in the latest maintenance.

The license issue is solved, the mySQL problem I was not aware of at the time of posting the above. I have alerted an higher admin to the issue as my access to that particular server is a bit limited at the moment, a consequence of the previous license issue no doubt.

Remote mysql is not available on free hosting, and as far as I know it should never have been an option, despite the icons for it being part of cPanel, it is blocked on firewall.

You should not have more then one account. That said, did you check junk folder? Unfortunately it sometimes ends up there.

Hello, This issue has now been sorted, looked like a previously added domain had a couple email addresses that were not removed with the domain, with the domain no longer associated with the account they didn't show in cPanel for you.
