I'd say it is likely that it as due to DNS propagation. The IP displayed in the ftp message in your first post is not the IP of your x10server. The address seem to resolve nicely to the correct IP now though, can you access ftp now?

in your cPanel you should have information about the shared IP for your server (in he left side information panel), that is what you need to put in for A record. CNAME is only possible if you have the domain set as addon or park, in other words still have an active usable x10hosting sub domain.

I think the information in the ticket is enough. Adding more to it now, only moves it to the bottom of the list

I found your ticket, unfortunately I do not have access to solve your problem. The problem in your case is that the domain you want is already in the system, a left over from your previous account. I moved the ticket to sign-up issues, hopefully it'll get faster attention by an admin/server tech...

I'd say it is an actual account issue now. All servers have been transfered. You'd need to create a ticket. Please include what your cPanel name is and, if you know, what server you were on. (the link between hosting and forum accounts are broken so we can't see them automatically)

you should use your domain (same as you'd type into the browser) as host, port 21 (can be left empty since that is the default for ft protocol). login with your cPanel details.

your forum loads fine for me, do you still have problems accessing it?

It could be due to some plugin you have installed, during my test akismet was the only plugin activated.

Welcome to x10 hosting. Wordpress should run just fine on level 2 (intermediate). Currently there's no levels in use, all accounts are set to the equivalent of level 2 (some functions that normally would be in level 2 might be off though). The use of levels are coming back when everything else...

I don't use wordpress for that page, but I do for three other parts of the site... Main page is supposed to be somewhat static, only dynamic content is received from feeds

You are correct to assume this is an upgrade with the future in mind. However you should submit a ticket if you have not already, as it appears that the link between your hosting account and your forum account is broken, which I suspect is very much part of why you can't access your site yet.
