Defec Talisman, all I see are "fsockopen" errors on the first page, and the second page doesn't show anything when it loads.

ok, you need to right click the files and save them local. Then edit line 5 of the index.php to the quote above it.
sub domain, username, password, leave this one, leave this one, and then this has to be the theme you have set in cpanel (mine is x3).

Then upload both to you hosting account in to any folder and then linking to the index will show the results.
Its a class, so you would use this in another script for example a dynamic gd image or what ever you want. If you are unsure of how to use it then you should do some reading on php and class's.
It works I can assure you.

EDIT:
I am sorry that I cant show an example, this would be a bit of a security risk on my account. I don't have another account to use as an example.

NB
Like I said above this is a class that would be used in another script. I do not recommend that you link anyone to the above index as this would contain all one needs to login to your cpanel.
In a gd image your average person wont be able to get at the file unless it produces errors.

PS
Feel free to click my rep for the time spent on this. I will do a little more with it soon.

This script was not written by me, just modded to retrieve info from the new cpanel as the script was obviously broken. I take no responsibility for an problems that may arise from the use of it.
I also lay no claim to its contents. I have left everything as is except the parts that where producing errors in the creators original example.

Here is a quick script I put together to limit the amount of times a person views a image.
It is very simple, uses text files and it should run on a basic php config.

http://www.defectalisman.com/examples/md.rar

unzip the file local.
Then put all images in the img folder. Name then nicely, no spaces and such.
Then the track folder is where you create allowances.
edit one of the files in it.
the first field is the image name you want people to see, use | as a seporator. The next is the location of the image again a | and then amount of times they are allowed to see that image.
for each image just use a new line.
Then name the file as the persons name or id of some sort and then link to it in the query string like so ->
http://www.defectalisman.com/md/dwm.php?d_id=bob&pic_id=pic4
http://www.defectalisman.com/md/dwm.php?d_id=bob&pic_id=pic4
Create a new text file for each person that is being linked to the images.
One the image is hit the first time a log file is created for that user.

Obviously it will only work once you upload the whole folder to a host(hopefully us).

Defec, because the files for the API are written in PHP we can't just download them. They either need to be renamed, or put into a .zip archive.

The NEW Biggest thread just GOT BIGGER!!!

Lol. Pah, it seems I won't reach 1,000 today because of the lack of spam in my forums, no oppurtunites. For once in my life I actually want spam, that's a new one :p. Ah well, back to work on Productivity Zero I suppose. Making things look prettier with icons in the admin panel :).

I can help you out by posting LOTS of referral links without non-referral links in the Earning Money section. ;)
This is actually a pretty big thread.

Lol, no thanks. It's pretty nice actually, having it all clean for once. I'm going to go over all the old threads soon and delete all the closed ones to tidy it up a bit; make it easier to find threads. I hope you've applied to become a moderator? We haven't forgotten about all the applications; more staff will be hired soon and you'd make a brilliant moderator.

Yep, I applied ages ago.
My application probably didn't look as good as I could have made it because I wrote it up in about 10 minutes. =p

You want spam, eh? I'll be sure to spam up the gaming forum real soon if you'd like it.

I don't moderate that one any more, we all moved to different forums to see how we'd cope. I now do Earning Money and Ads & Offers. But no spam please, I'll get there soon. Only 3 posts to go and then we can all go party and drink loads of expensive champagne and then argue the toss over who can pay for it when we see the 6 foot long bill :).

I'm getting there :).

Well doing moneky work(fixing scripts) is a good way to go about getting credits. See a few posts back for proof :)
No thank you TechAsh for putting me on to it. I will see what I can do to use it in a dynamic image :p at a latter point. I am busy redoing my website(not that it could really have been classified that to begin with).
http://www.defectalisman.com , please don't tell me the colours suck, its just to differentiate the div's at the moment.
Another way to get credits is to do honest hard work and post like a mo-fo. Staff have the upper hand here as we get to post allot more than a normal member can.
