@Smith6612,
I love the shooter games idea. :p

I can just imagine my physics teacher explaining momentum and movement, while we are playing some awesome fps, thus demonstraiting those priciples by shooting each other. :biggrin:

Dude, I would seriously love to do that if they allowed us to do that and I can bring my own system since now, thanks to a GeForce driver update, my gaming computer has GeForce 8800 Ultras with PhysX support in SLi backed by a quad core CPU from Intel (the 45nm chips). My school's network would probably die over the amount of connections I need to make just to game alone, as just browsing a somewhat image heavy site over their T3 makes things slow down >.>

And for physics, why not in school load up a game with extreme rag doll physics and just physics over all? That'd be an awesome way to teach a class, though note *GAMING MACHINE REQUIRED!!!* lol.

Not neccesarily a gaming computer required, you can use a program like Autodesk Maya to do phsysics things. My laptop I got from my school has a nVidia Quadro FX 570 that is specially designed for 3dsmax and autodesk maya.

We installed autodesk maya today in the school. The licensing system is crap. 1. 1 license per NETWORK not computer = I can only use it with the wireless network in the school. 2. The license must be on a "license server" in the school, and the laptop needs access to it. If you open maya without that network and/or without internet it will not run.

My school hasn't got the licensing system up yet, so our teacher learned us how to use the keygen to make your own license. Pretty hard actually since you need to use CMD to get tha mac-adress of the network.

In my school, I'm not sure if the IT guys noticed this or not, but their POS PKZIP software actually placed advertising zombie robot software on their computers, and when I looked up the advertising robot, I hear that it hammers networks with connections. Probably explains why my school's internet likes to go to the dump a lot during the afternoon. I wonder if the IT guys did anything over the summer about that, as every computer in the school has that, and PKZIP is actually shareware. FAIL!

Imagine that. Your ITs single handedly did what I spent all of my time in school doing to them.

I have faster than you Mitch! Speedtest.net is always glitchy for me, so I use Speakeasy.net and VisualWare's Java Speed Test!

When i use Speakeasy.net speedtest, i get this:
Download Speed: 1290 kbps (161.3 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 649 kbps (81.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
But it is because i life in Europe and the server of speakeasy.net are in America. ( i will try later again, because somebody else is download on the same internet as me )

Nope, just nicked it off google images :s and then ps it :p
Ah, clever :naughty:
I once got a weird email from a website telling me off for taking an image from their site which I found on google images. The email sounded like it was from my mum... I would swear though that I didn't get the image from the website they were talking about... Still, I've never nicked an image from google images again!

I would say at least 75% of the images on the net are ripped of. I am pretty sure 90% of the avatars and signature images on the forums are ripped off :s
