After using Yahoo! Mail for the better part of 4 and half years, I tried Hotmail at the heed of all my friends' advice... and hated it. After 6 years of Yahoo! Mail, 5 of which with the same email address, I've finally switched to Gmail. Tons better, too.

I used some webmails in the past, including yahoo, but GMail is definitely the best.

I use my GMail account from now on with my pop3 mail client, which is embedded with the Opera browser.

Cheers

Gmail. I only use Yahoo when I need a quick junk email address for something that I'm not sure about when I sign up for.

I've read a lot of the posts that state everyone just "loves" gmail because its a ton better.

Better than what? ( my opnion here anyway )

I guess I am slightly a neat freak when it comes to things online. I happen to use gmail, but it lacks quite a bit.

1st - No Folders.
Yes. I am aware of the fact that you can click on the star and set up little things to find your e-mails easier, but they are still sitting in my inbox. Regardless if I click the star or add filters ... they are still there.

This is my biggest complaint. They may have tons of storage, but why would I want to store all my e-mails in the inbox? Its not stored, to me - its cluttered.

If they could give folders, I'd be happy. I'd use it a lot more.

For me, I use AOL, Hotmail, Yahoo and Gmail ( gmail.com and the gmail hosted e-mail service ) ...

Folders? Bah. Folders are too restricting for e-mails, in my opinion. That's why Gmail has labels.

Plus, you're supposed to archive your mail, by selecting the mail in your inbox and clicking "archive".

If by "filters" you meant labels, I don't see why you don't like them.
