Erm, Montana...I thought we not supposed to ressurect old threads. lol

Anyway here is mine:

This really isn't an old thread. Last post was made 3-24. That was less than a month ago. Old threads are considered to be 6 months to 1 year. ( Some that have been revived were over a year old )

My results:

and:
Last Result:
Download Speed: 12835 kbps (1604.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 306 kbps (38.3 KB/sec transfer rate)

However I'm only supposed to be able to get 1.5Mbps, and when I'm downloading a file it is a lot lower than this (Between 60 and 80Kbps).

oh it wasted my a lot of bandwidth.I have only 1 GB download limit per month.

One gigabyte a month? How to you manage with that, just wondering? Here I'm running an unlimited 7.1Mbps/1.5Mbps DSL line and if I even got capped, I'd be very angry and irritated. I go through GIGABYTES a day, sometimes every hour I'll go through 3 GB.

Nice FiOS Brandon! I'm going to be getting it here when they tear up the lawns here soon. I'll probably get a nice 30Mbps/15Mbps line here, being how heavy of a user I am. The differences in speeds are a peering issue, so it's nothing bad. Otherwise, I guess like your avatar your connection has nitros now :D

Ya it works pretty nice we got the 20/5 on a dirt cheap deal from them we couldn't pass up, cheaper than our DSL atm and we can get rid of our home phone now.

Wow. I'm paying $40 for Verizon DSL right now, and even the 5/2 plan would be the same price.

Well they've been pressuring us to upgrade forever (2 years maybe, we were one of the first to have it avalible), and I think they gave us the wrong plan :).

It reminds me of them sending us adverts after we moved 2 miles from our old house. When we were at the old house, all that was there was 36k dial-up (that house was the last house on the wire for the road, and that road had about 7 miles of wire from the RT to the house, and the lines were old) and Adelphia PowerLink. When we moved to our current spot next to the DSL feed (very lucky!), Verizon suddenly started sending us adverts and Adelphia sent PowerLink adverts. Well, when we got DSL, Verizon stopped mailing us those, but now Time Warner still sends us stuff for Roadrunner. So yeah, I wonder when those FiOS adverts are coming.
