I can't send any e-mail from my free hosting account: it just times out, so I assumed this function was disabled on free accounts to prevent abuse by spam bots?!
Thank you ttbx10ho... sorry for switching accounts all the time. I created this one for Stephanie really, but I'm trying to get it all working for her first. Once we can bring her web presence together and it starts producing more business I think we will be wanting to upgrade our hosting plan...
Oh... Brinkster said they would disable the entry on their name servers... but presumably the name is registered who it belongs to somewhere so that we can say which name servers are to be used?
Yes... we are trying to bring multiple business ventures together on one site and reduce overheads.
We brought Stephanie's bodyredemption.co.nz over, and that seems to be working as a parked domain.
Now we also want cosmetic-escape.com to come in to the same web site at x10hosting...
Oh dear... Stephanie won't be very happy with me... but imma go back to bed... it's 4:14 am here and IDK what else to try. Thanks for the suggestions so far... it's all good experience one way or the other ;)
I'm just an amateur trying to help a friend who is a beauty therapist and neither of us have much of a clue about internet malarkey... but we are trying. I did see another tread called "Index of /" and I saw that an x10hosting support wizard seems to have fixed it for them by editing the DNS...
I'm having a very similar problem with my "parked domain" bodyredemption.co.nz and I just saw another thread by orbitalx about his/her domain orbitalinfo.com same thing can you help us too please?

Oh... you are having exactly the same problem that I'm having with my bodyredemption.co.nz it just showing an empty root folder and IDK what it's showing either. :(
p.s. I made a similar thread and there are some suggestions others made... maybe you can get some ideas from them, but it hasn't...
Um thanks... I'm still confused though because cPanel File manager just shows my website http://beauty.x10host.com/ as /public_html identifying the root folder "/" as (/home/beautyx2)
What I want is for the bodyredemption.co.nz domain to point to the very same website.
I thought is what they...
Thanks. I don't have access to the old hosting service, but I did a ping on the domain name and it confirms IP address is x10hosting when I open the domain it just says "Index of /" and I don't know what folder it is trying to open
I transferred a domain name from another service provider... but it is not showing my web site and IDK what to do. Can someone help me please?
The domain is http://bodyredemption.co.nz and it should be showing the same as http://beauty.x10host.com/ but it just showing an empty folder :'(
Thankyou essellar... that was very helpful indeed. I was on the xo5 server and now everything seems to be back again :)
... so I shall proceed finding out about changing the registered domain hosts and bring Stephanie's cosmetic enterprises together.
