Lost all data and ****ed up by free X hosting again :) thanks

Closing ticket; if you can't bother to be remotely civil when posting a ticket, then feel free to take a chill-pill first. We are almost all volunteers on free hosting, so taking it out on us doesn't get the problem solved any faster. And for your information, as co2x10bz already pointed...

    404 error-Everything got deleted!

There is an issue we are currently working to resolve with Lotus; it has lost connection to the storage network that stores files. The files are there, lotus just can't see them. In any case, in the future please try to use the support link at the top of the x10hosting.com/portal portal...

    CPanel - File Upload

We're currently awaiting a cPanel bug fix from cPanel to resolve this; in the mean time, the Legacy File Manager (which isn't as fancy but does work) and FTP still function. cPanel's not always fast at fixing bugs either, which is why this has been an ongoing issue for a bit. We do know about...

X10hosting : Is this racist or what ?

If your country is in the black list, it is either because it is illegal for us to do business with you, or in this case because of the level of abuse we received from those who came before you. The policy is not up for debate. France is in the High Risk list because while we've received...

    scammed?

Was about to point out that if you do the migration option it does take a bit for it to finish transferring it over, and if you're purchasing a VPS (which it looks like you did) those also take time for setup, particularly if you want one with cPanel.

    vBulletin

As a side note if you've used the install elsewhere, you will need to update your license - it must not only be a legally purchased license, but it must be set up for the current domain you are using it through, or when it gets checked (and we do check the vBulletin's we find on free hosting)...

Go back to useing the forum for support.

The larger problem was actually the problems it was causing between cPanel and the other software on the server - it wouldn't always change fully and that would result in a permanent "Server Error" page that couldn't be removed without erasing the account and recreating it, which most users...

    Can i backup my database?

Remote MySQL is disabled so they won't be able to connect to MySQL the way they're trying to. It's also a bad idea to give a random site your username/password.

    PHP Include Help?

Where/what subdirectory is it in on your site? The includes are working on the main site so it's gotta be a code problem. I'm heading away from my PC for a bit but I can check into it when I get back; no guarantees I'll be able to figure it out (I'm not an expert at PHP) but I'm willing to...

    PHP Include Help?

Try it without the leading ./ and see if it works; include is not a blocked function and it works perfectly within CMS's like Joomla and Wordpress, so it's going to end up being a code problem.

    2 domains 1 account

Yes; you can add 1 as a parked domain, along with 2 more as addon domains.

why they stop my account and delete my files

Section 8 of our terms; we are not obligated nor required to provide backups once you were suspended. In addition, we verify vB licenses as we find the vB installs - there are valid licenses for quite a few of them on x10hosting. If it's been legally purchased, we don't have a problem with...

Hosting a Hackathon.. is it okay??

I wouldn't recommend it, if only because while it might not violate our Terms, I highly doubt our Datacenter would appreciate a sudden influx in hacking activity towards a server we operate. In addition, should someone decide to hack the page but not in the spirit of the event and upload...

How to change the limit of space?

This would likely have been better done as a support ticket, however the limit on space can be lifted after the following requirements are met: Account 7+ days old [not met] Valid TOS abiding website uploaded [not met] Once those are done, open a support ticket through the portal - very few of...

Go back to useing the forum for support.

Any particular reasons why? My major complaint with the forum system was that everything is public; I've already edited out passwords on around 10 tickets sent in on the new system, although that's more for sanity rather than safety since no one but the user and staff can see the ticket...

    Domen take over.

As indicated in a support ticket you opened that I replied to a bit ago, the original account is showing not available in the system. Chances are it was suspended for an extended time and erased as an inactive account; whatever site you're seeing isn't hosted on x10hosting anymore - a trace...

Extremely slow index page load in my forum

The problem might be the malware that piggy-backed onto your index.php file; open it in cpanel's code editor and look at the bottom. You'll want to fix that part for sure - most antivirus software, including mine, is outright refusing to open the page because of it.

website down and can't log in

Starka's being worked on for emergency maintenance right now, it was just rebooted a few minutes ago and is working on restarting. This is also related to the problem you guys saw - the /home dir unmounted, so the data was intact but it didn't know where it was (kinda like being lost on a map -...

HELP! FTP account deleted, files deleted, 404!

Starka just got rebooted so while data's intact it's going to be offline for a few minutes for emergency maintenance; not sure what required a reboot but something did. Upside is we're aware there's a problem, and we're working to correct it :)

Please don't think that I'm being a difficult customer, but this needs clarifying.

Re: Please don't think that I'm being a difficult customer, but this needs clarifying No worries, wasn't meant as a "calling out," just wanted to get the record straight :)
