Download the Windows 7 RC EARLY!

Downloaded it this morning in under an hour and it is burned onto DVD disk :)

    Halo Wars!

Any company that makes a game has to worry about piracy. Sure, piracy is more prevalent on a PC since it's much easier to pirate PC games than it is to hack your console and then install a pirated copy to it. As per the graphics, if you have a decent PC with dedicated video and not some crappy...

    WTF? - Walmart refuses sale

As far as I know, this is perfectly legal as well and a store is free to conduct business in a free market, however they'd like, really. If there's any suspicions going around, then they're free to deny sale.

    Dual-screen laptops?

Video bandwidth is quite high for a wireless solution to handle without compressing the picture quite a bit :\ It is possible to do dual screens on a laptop though, either get a Two monitor DVI splitter or use the lappy's screen with an external.

    Swine Flu

The media is known for adding too much hype to things. This is yet another case of that, but it is at least good that they are keeping it from spreading.

    Taking Space out a CD

As others have said above, unless the disk is open and is a rewritable disk, anything saved to the disk is there pernamently and cannot be removed :)

    Asus Bamboo series Laptop

People who enjoy the mobility of a laptop (a lot of people) of course!. You'd be surprised on how many people game on laptops. Sure, they may not be the hardcore base that absolutely must overclock their systems, but even a bit of heavy gamers use laptops.

    Internet Security War is Coming...

The thing I find funny is, and this has been discussed elsewhere, how would no one notice several TERABYTES of data being downloaded from mission critical machines? Second, if the Pentagon has their Mission Critical machines networked, what the heck are they doing on the internet? Really, unless...

    Best Internet security package

The best in my opinion is to have separate programs. All it takes is one virus to knock out an entire security center. It takes a more complex virus/trojan to disable many separate programs though. Personally, here's what I'm using. Avast! Antivirus Home Edition 4 (free) Spybot: Search and...

The Downfall of the Gaming Industry

Personally, while the creativity of games has gone down, I don't see the gaming industry declining at all. Being a PC gamer myself, and of course liking games, I have a crapload of FPS games as well as a few games such as Starcraft and Trackmania, etc on my system. Now, I may be the oddity out...

    help me to monitor

For what the program is doing, I wouldn't be surprised to see Antivirus programs balking at it. Just make sure you set that program as deny all access to the internet and network with your Firewall, as there's always the possibility this program you have installed is in fact actual spyware that...

    24 SSD's = Fast

I wonder how fast things would be if I were to put a 48 cluster of VelociRaptor drives into RAID 1 (2x 24 = 24 RAID) if that is even possible

where can i upload my file ??

You can use Windows Explorer if you're running Windows as an FTP client. It works the same as if you were managing files on your PC's hard drive. Just open up a folder, and in the address bar, type in ftp://yourwebsiteaddress.com and then right click the folder, go to Login As... and enter in...

Cannot connect to the internet with XP

I wouldn't say ripped off, I'd say more along the lines of unaware of features. If you had that modem back from the time before when you had DSL, then it did it's job. Keep in mind that not everything is going to support every feature that one wants or will need, so in this case if the DSL...

Cannot connect to the internet with XP

Yeah, so basically what I was saying is both the problem and the solution. If your ADSL router doesn't support using one of the ethernet ports as a WAN port, you'll need to go pick up a decent router somewhere or buy one online.

Posting is not necessary, but it is appreciated here!

Cannot connect to the internet with XP

It isn't right, but if your router supports it, it can be done. What is really interesting is the fact that Windows 7 can connect and that Windows XP is unable to do that. Both operating systems are using DHCP in order to obtain a connection, right? They're also getting DNS information from DHCP...

    Upcoming Stealth games

I've had my eye on a few of these games already thanks to GameTrailers. Though they just show the same clips over and over again, some of these games are looking quite nice. I just hope they don't do a Console to PC port for the game though. Ports never turn out in PC quality gaming when it...
