    Laptop/Notebook Kits

I haven't seen any laptop kits around, but I do know that if you are willing to get your hands dirty with buying the parts for one (can be hard to find), you can easilly build one. Just look around on the Internet for parts and such.

The economy hasn't given me any issues. Going good here :)

Microsoft & Dell to Merge - An April Fools Joke??

I haven't heard this, but I'm sure it'll show up on the tech sites like crazy if this does happen. Seeing as though Dell already owns Alienware, imagine Dell being bought by Microsoft. That would mean one huge company then...

    Am I banned on x10hosting.com?

Well, something has to be going on. You are hitting the datacenter that this site is hosted in (Softlayer via Dallas, TX) but you are not hitting the server, so DNS is automatically out of the question, as well as Roadrunner's routing/peering being out of the question as well. Trace routes help...

    tv as secondary monitor

All depends on what your TV supports. If it does DVI or VGA, great! You're all set to go and it should be able to act as a second monitor. If it uses S-Video, don't expect the picture to look so clear with a high resolution but it will work (but only view the first monitor).

Has anyone got a site that has been up for a full week on x10

Mine checks every half hour lol. You should see how full my e-mail box is when Apache keeps crashing on Absolut. @Brandon: What site are you using? I'm using SiteUptime.com and it is set to check out my DynDNS domain name.

Is Google a "She" or a "He"?

D: You're right. Not to mention the fact that Google owns AdSence, soon to by buying another ad company I believe, AND they own YouTube.

Has anyone got a site that has been up for a full week on x10

I have been seeing Absolut go down at the same times every day the last few days or so. Other than that, as of lately no, but in the past, I've seen my site have over a week without Apache going down (from at least what my monitor has told me).

Is Google a "She" or a "He"?

It all depends on your gender and what you will call the site. I call it "Google."

I want to upgrade my processor- plz suggest

Basically, we need to know your current CPU (and your CPU's model/CPU Socket type) and your budget, and then we can suggest one for you. I am a big fan of the quad core chips, even though they will typically have lower clock speeds than a dual core. My suggestion is, if you want a flexible quad...

    nProtect Gameguard

It all depends really. Many times games themselves will come with anti-cheat programs such as my most hated anti-cheat program PunkBuster, or Valve Anti-cheat which I like. Typically, unless you install an Anti-cheat program the game supports, there's no way to add one. nProtect GameGuard is...

How much is this laptop worth?

Given the specs and the possible age of the machine, about $175 in my opinion.

    Look at this...http://www.awsurveyscam.com

It's actually no suprise to hear about sites wanting to buy out the sites that are promoting bad press to them, really, especially sites ran by scammers. Anyone who uses Google should be able to figure out if the site is a scam or not just by not looking at the first results ;). Also, anyone who...

Here you go, this should turn some info up. http://www.google.com/search?btnG=1&q=Setting+up+a+home+web+server Check out the LifeHacker article first. That should explain a bit. Don't forget, there is free software you can use such as Apache Web Server, PHP and MySQL that you can use, so no...

How do you as web designers host your clients' websites?

Typically I tell them to go choose a hosting provider unless they want me to choose one for them. Typically they'll choose one that is good when it comes down to paid. If it's for free hosting, I'll point them to this site to consider it. I've found that if people don't have their own servers...

    absolute down

I've set up my website before and hosted it from my home, so I can pretty much help you through that, though unless you have Fiber Optic/DOCSIS 3.0 Cable, it won't take much to hammer your connection. I can hammer just about any connection that I'm on within a heart beat.
