Does the URL (the [sub-]domain part) you had attempted to visit match the one that is on cPanel?

Are you wanting to have SMF forums in a directoty and accessed via a different domain (as if that's the main thing)?

You could temporarily use a domain from Freenom (which is free). I say 'temporarily' because it isn't reliable unless you actually pay for it. I would explain but I don't want to turn this thread into a Freenom rant and believe me, I have a lot to say.

A parked domain would need custom domain that you had obtained (not the one that comes with x10). So yes, '.com' could be one of them, if that is what you have. This would point to the same area of where your public site files are (as if you are using the provided sub-domain).

You have to make a mark that you are still using the service by logging into the main login page. Accounts get terminated so that more can fit in, to keep the server(s) clean, and to lower the risk of accounts being compromised. If you do not make that mark, it will be like not letting someone...

This function you are requesting to be enabled would be very dangerous to enable on shared hosting.

It sounds like you are wanting reseller hosting if anything (presuming you are not wanting to have things being too complicated). X10's free hosting would not allow that, as the others pointed out. The only exception would be if it were to be a educational institution.

What are you getting when trying to access that area?

Who would this provider be? Is it your site you speak of?

That is odd. By default, it should not be doing the directory slash (in the document root). At least that is not the case for me. Which browser are you using and what server is your site on?

Make sure you enable the 'mysql' module from the area with checkboxes.

Would this be on an other page? I cannot find such code on the login page (where the link points towards).

Any hints that indicate that there is JavaScript code not correctly being executed? All I see that is wrong according to the console is that the page is requesting a non-existing image.

You could try going to the 'Advanced DNS Zone Editor' page using cPanel. It appears to only allow A, CNAME or TXT. No SRV. So, 'A' might do the job in your case. IP address goes into the 'address' text box.

That sounds odd. 0.0.0.0 would typically mean all IPv4 addresses that are on the local machine. Perhaps the server is accessing itself? What are you using to collect this information? Which software (if any) are you using on your site?

You might want to either enable error logging or display errors in cPanel to look for any errors/notices/warnings left by PHP for those PHP scripts.
