My goodness, this is getting rather convoluted and bloody to boot! Nice to see that one strawberry made it out intact, but I would hope that zen-r stays out of harms way in the future. Meanwhile I think the best approach for the future would be to spread some of those pilfered strawberry...

If e-mails from x10hosting.com get thrown back for being on a server "spammer and exploits list" (as in the example error in my original post), then x10 e-mail is not a very reliable service. IN fact as feared, the same server rejection occured even after I had nick@dreyer.x10hosting.com put on...

Now it is working again. I was always able to log in, I was just concerened about the error at the top of the page and the fact that the Forum Icon was gone. The icon was never in a section to the right, but under the group of icons (secon group from the top) titled "x10 member support"...

Now my new x10hosting e-mail appears to no longer get hung up in the "530 relay error", but instead gets treated by two different mail hosts as spam. Why would that be? I never had that happen before with e-mail address gurfle@oz.net (over 13 years now), which looks a lot more questionable...

I have finally figured out why the forum member login panel does not show me as logged in right after doing so: It appears that the page won't update until it is forced to refresh with a pressing of the F5-key. Same thing happens after posting new threads or replies on forums. I'm using IE6...
