Make sure you're not behind a firewall that blocks port 2083 (that's what cpanel uses). Workplaces and schools commonly block ports that are not needed to do the work given to you.

The answer is: If you have a custom domain you do it at your registrar. If you use one of our free subdomains you can't, and you should use the cloudflare addon in cPanel which would sort that part out for you.

The main domain needs to be one of the subdomains we provide freely. Any custom domain needs to go as addon or parked domain. When you add it as parked or addon, do you get any errors, or what happens?

That would be because you have set password protection on public_html in cPanel. It is asking you to login to your site, not to login to cPanel.
