My boss installed internet monitoring software on my personal computer. I don't know if this is even legal, but I found the program and am wondering if I can remove it in add/remove programs and that will do it???
Of course they are. If you want to play games online, or visit questionable sites, or email your friends, do it on your own time and on your own computer. Or find another employer.
You have to go to the administrator account and do that.My boss installed internet monitoring software on my personal computer. I don't know if this is even legal, but I found the program and am wondering if I can remove it in add/remove programs and that will do it???

If you didn't agree to install any monitoring software in you machine, then that's illegal. And I think employee monitoring is legal as long as the computers belong to the employers. You can easily delete it in add/remove programs. In our office we use employee software for time tracking to monitor employees. But we all agree to use the software to monitor employee productivity.
but what if an employer will deploy a monitoring software in a hidden mode without notifying employees? is it legal?
Yeah..I agree with youOf course it's legal, it's THEIR computer, not yours, mine or anyone else's, theirs and only theirs. They ALLOW someone to use it, that's it, nothing more, nothing less.
Why is this such a difficult thing for people to understand? Surf pr0n on your own time guys, geeze.
I don't know if anyone noticed, but the people posting links in this thread are spammers.
