I added edge.x10hosting.com to safe senders in hotmail (x10host.com and x10hosting.com were already there) and 2 out of the 4 addresses received from the contact form. That's weird because one of them was the Exchange account which I didn't do anything to - but they are both Microsoft products...

Email accounts I've tested sending to are domain based hotmail, a gmail account, an Exchange account and another isp based account. Initially an invoice app on a WordPress site was the "sender" but messages from a contact form also fail. Both give success messages. Any ideas where to check?

My guess is you were logged in with a non admin id which could hide some of the fields in settings. Keep in mind too, you have to change the url in 2 places in the database: In wp-options the site url (which you did) and on page 2 the "home" url.

I've noticed this too - but though the file saved success message doesn't show, files save anyway. So I just close that screen, no refreshing or redoing necessary.

You can rename the plug in folder via ftp to disable all plug ins or rename them individually to isolate the culprit. Memory problems are generally resolved by increasing limits in config.php. Search wordpress.org and you'll find hundreds of posts.

If it's a WordPress site, make sure everything is exactly right in wp-config file. You'd also see this error is the SQL server was having issues.

The way it works is you point the domain at your x10 hosting account after adding or parking it in your x10 account.

Many thousands of others aren't having these problems so it's safe to assume it's something in your set up/content. Try http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/ to troubleshoot what the issue is.

Same here with 2 accounts. Usually takes 5 minutes so they must be blocking new registrations. It can't take this long to run the queue.

Not sure about 2012 but the last version of WLM had an option to select http as the protocol, which would configure pop accounts for you so you don't have to enter anything. If you're okay with pop, that's the way to go.
