Once you create a new addon domains or sub domains after the main domain has been upgraded. It then takes another 12-24 hours for the other addon/sub domain to get the PHP upgraded as well.

The only way they can find that information is if you had it stored on your site somewhere and they had access to it.

Log into http://x10hosting.com/account using forum user name and password. On the left towards the bottom there is a place to get the PHP upgrade.
