It appears to be related to your .htaccess, I removed the section about wordfence just to test and it worked properly for me after that. I did put it back though as it probably isn't the whole thing that causes it but rather some part of it.

Accessing the database from an outside source should never have worked as it the port shouldn't have been open in the firewall. Anything you have installed in your account can connect the database using localhost.

Free hosting will continue to be available, only with using DirectAdmin as the management panel for users instead of cPanel.

Trying to login to the server before the account is migrated usually ends up with an IP block in the firewall. So until you see that you are directed to directadmin when logging in through the sso page you should assume your account is not moved.

I cannot safely delete accounts during maintenance, as it would only be possible to delete it from parts of our system.

The nameservers are still the same. Have you added the domain in your account (using domain manager -> add new), it does currently not show as having any A record on a lookup. I have no idea how email accounts would disappear and reappear on themselves, unless you made any changes to the domain...

I haven't heard any resent other then the fact that it is a bit behind the original schedule due to a couple unforseen events, one being a bunch of accounts failed proper transfer and had to be redone.

There's not really any button that resets the site (account). The only option is to manually remove the files that shouldn't be there, for the site itself that would be all files WITHIN public_html for the domain in question, do NOT remove that folder itself, and then removing any databases...
